Ferrari breaks Mercedes 23 consecutive pole streak
For the first time in 2015 and since Austria 2014, it was not a Mercedes driver on pole. Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel took pole in Singapore breaking Mercedes domination 23 consecutive poles. Only Massa on the Williams took pole last season from Mercedes and this year its Vettel on the Ferrari. Vettel was followed Daniel Ricciardo in Red Bull and Kimi Raikonnen in the other Ferrari.
Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were completely off pace from FP2 and didnt have an answer for the sudden drop in performance and qualified in 5th row behind Kyvat on the other Red Bull car.
