Rosberg wins Monaco GP after a wrong pitstop cost Hamilton victory

It was a normal Monaco Grand Prix for almost 75% of the race distance dominated by the pole man Hamilton until Verstappen Jr rammed the real wheel of Grosjean and hit the barriers calling in the safety car lap 64, as a wrong pitstop call for Hamilton by the team handed the lead to team mate Nico Rosberg, who ran away for his third consecutive win in Monaco followed by Ferrari´s Sebastian Vettel in 2nd leaving Hamilton to settle for 3rd.

At the start Hamilton made a clean get away to lead into C1 in the tight and curvy Monaco street circuit followed by Rosberg who tried to attack Hamilton but had to defend Vettel getting into 2nd. Ricciardo (RedBull) running 4th who caught up with Hamilton and started to attack before being called to give up his position to team mate Kyvat for an illegal overtake cutting the chicane.



Raikkonen came in 6th and was furios over an agressive overtake by Ricciardo after the safety car period. 

Force India´s Sergio Perez came in 7th and Jenson Button took valuable first points for the McLaren Honda in 8th.

Filepe Nasr (Sauber) came in 9th with Carlos Sainz Jr. rounding off top 10.

Hulkenberg on the other Force India finished 11th recovering from a Lap 1 collision with Alonso costing a nose cone change. 

Alonso (McLaren) was initially given an 5sec penalty for causing a collision while overtaking Hulkeberg on lap 1 but later retired due to a gear box problem.
