Arjun Maini takes positives from a tough Hockenheim weekend in FIA F3 Europe
17year old Bengaluru lad, Arjun Maini managed to finish 13th in Race 3 – Round 2 of FIA F3 European Series at Hockenheim, Gerrmany. Arjun who was the runner up in the BRDC F4 championship last year graduated to the Formula 3 European series for 2015 with team Van Amersfoort Racing. He finished 14th in his F3 debut in Round 1 at Silverstone, UK and improved a step higher to finish 13th in Round 2 in Hockenheim, Germany in a field of 35 cars.
In Race 1 Arjun finished 16th, a DNF in Race 2 after a Lap1 incident and finally he managed to take 13th in Race 3 in wet conditions.
Another Indian driver, Chennai based Mahaveer Raghunathan finished 25th, 31st and 30th in the 3 races of Round 2.
Arjun Maini commented "A positive round at the Hockenheim racetrack in Germany, where I managed a best result of 13th out of 35 cars. Though the overall result may not have been my desired outcome I was looking for, there are definitely better days ahead! I´m looking forward to the next round which is in two weeks time and will also be my first street race!
