Sneha Sharma who recently signed up with team Meco Racing for the 2017 JK Tyre National Championships LGB F4 series under the watchful eye of mentor Akbar Ebrahim is forced to sit out of Round 1 due to a knee injury. The first round of 2017 JK Tyre National Championship is all set to begin on the 8th of July at the Kari Motor speedway in Coimbatore. The 26 year old pilot and formula car driver who is currently resting in Chennai after undergoing treatment revealed the news to Motor Racing India. She is expecting to recover soon and hoping to come back strong for Round 2 in August. Sneha quoted “We were training hard for this year’s racing season, during an exercise session, I tore the ligament in my knee. It is quite unfortunate and we are highly disappointed by this incident. And am working really hard with our team of doctors, physiotherapists and nutritionists. We plan to get back in the racing arena as early as August.” “We have 12 races this year and we still have the opportunity to come back strong. I am soon to resume my duties as a pilot as well. We need all your prayers and wishes for a strong recovery to put us back on the race track”.
