Sebastian Vettel grabs record breaking pole for the Indian Grand Prix
Red Bull´s Sebastian Vettel grabbed his fifth consecutive pole of the season and third consecutive in India with a fastest ever lap on the Indian Circuit in Noida. Vettel overcame his own record of 2011 with an amazing 1:24.119s on soft tyres.
He was followed by the Mercedes drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton on the soft tyres while fourth placed Mark Webber was on a different strategy with Medium compounds.
Massa on the Ferrari came in 5th ahead of Raikkonen on the Lotus and Hulkenberg on the Sauber. Championship contendor Fernando Alonso came in 8th with Medium compounds on his Ferrari ahead of McLaren duo Sergio Perez and Jenson Button.
Vettel can clinch his 4th world title in India tomorrow if he can finish 75 points ahead of second placed Fernando Alonso with 3 more races remaining.
