The defending champion retains his title with sublime display of speed and technique.

Bangalore, 14 May 2014 – Yash Aradhya, the 11 year old racing sensation from Bangalore, studying in class 6 of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, was crowned the National Champion in Micro Max category at the recently concluded JK Tyre MMS Rotax Max National Kart Open 2014 in Hyderabad. The defending champion maintained consistent lap time and displayed spectacular race craft to dominate the tracks and successfully defend his title.

The championship, held at the Kart Centre, Lahari Resorts, Hyderabad on the 10th and 11th of May 2014 was a two round event, with five races in each round and ten laps in each race. Yash showed the maturity of a seasoned driver to clock consistent timing on each lap throughout the two days, stamping his class and authority on the championship.

Yash kept his calm before the start of each race, not getting carried away with the results of the previous one. It is this ability of his that was admired by his coach and opponents and proved to be his biggest asset. He led the championship from the start, creating an unassailable gap between him and his closest opponent. He created a championship record by winning 9 out of 10 races. His hard work and perseverance had paid off.

Yash made his racing debut in the year 2012, when he was 9 years old. He took part in JK Tyre Rotax Max Rookie Championship 2012 and JK Tyre National Rotax Max Championship 2012 and ended the season on a high note. He emerged Vice–Champion in the first championship.

In 2013, his second season, Yash became the national champion after winning JK Tyre MMS Rotax Max National Kart Open 2013 and claimed the Vice–Champion title at the JK Tyre National Rotax Max Championship India 2013.

Yash is mentored by Indian motorsports guru Akbar Ebrahim and trains at his academy, Meco Racing. Coach Shrinivas supervises his physical fitness. He also maintains a balanced diet under the guidance of nutritionist Ryan Fernando of Qua Nutrition.

Yash is self motivated and maintains his fitness and nutrition routines all by himself.

In just 2 seasons Yash has shown a maturity that usually comes with years of racing experience. With his consistent performance he has made sure he is recognized in racing circles and by general public alike.

Yash is currently competing in JK Tyre Rotax Max National Karting Championship India 2014. Simultaneously, he is also trying to push his limits and try to extend his success to international circuits as well. He is participating in Rotax Max Asia Challenge 2014 and after two rounds of impressive racing he is placed at no. 5 position in the overall leader board. With 3 more rounds left to go he hopes to claim the Asian title as well.

It provides a platform for the best racing talent from across the country to come together and test their skills. The championship has not only made the sport popular and raised interest among motorsports enthusiasts and general public, but has also been instrumental in breeding excellent racers in the country. Many past winners have gone on to do great things at the international level. The safety measures employed and the organizing logistics are unparalleled.

SUPPORT FROM CLOSE QUARTERS
Young Yash’s achievements are commendable, but for him to put up exceptional performances race after race, year after year there has to be a strong support system. Yash’s strength comes from his parents’ unconditional support. It is really admirable that his passion for racing is shared equally by his father Sujith Aradhya, an advertising professional and mother Hema Aradhya. They will move mountains to make their son’s dream come true.

SUPPORT FROM ADMIRERS
This down–to–earth, polite kid who cannot defy his age talks and behaves like everything is under control. It may just be true because he seems so sure of where he is and where he wants to go. When asked to say something about himself, he says: “I’m very friendly and I’m happy all the time. Although I spend a lot of time in practice and racing events, I make sure I find time to study and have a lot of fun with friends. My other passions are tennis and swimming and watching sports on TV. I’d like to continue to work hard and grow into a fine racer one day.”

His innocence is admirable but you can see the grit in his sparkling eyes. Yash is trying to break barriers and create a niche for himself in an expensive sport such as his. His parents do all they can but to fuel a big dream, which someone with Yash’s talent can make possible, no support is big enough. A diligent young talent like Yash needs financial support from more corporate sponsors to take him all the way to F1 championship. Yash has the determination and his talent is already proven.
