Rajini to race in 2014 QSBK Championship

– 10 time national racing champion becomes 1st rider from India to get full sponsorship.
– Rajini won the Losail 2013 Asian Road Racing Championship  (600cc) in Qatar in April 

Rajini Krishnan, India´s top bike racer hailing from Chennai has been awarded a fully sponsored run in the 2014 Qatar SBK Championship, by the QMMF (Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation).

He will race in the seven round superbike championship(1000cc) that starts on Oct 23, 2013 at the LOSAIL International Circuit, Qatar.  This unprecedented development will make the fastest Indian rider, the first from India, to be awarded a fully sponsored run in an International racing championship.This comes in the wake of his performance in the 2013 LOSAIL Asian road racing series(600CC), that saw him create history, by winning the championship.

For the 2014 QSBK, Rajini would be racing a SUZUKI GSX–R1000 motorcycle, competing against experienced riders from across the world. The Championship consists of 7 rounds that take place at the LOSAIL International Circuit, Qatar beginning from Oct 2013 up–to May 2014.

Rajini´s performance in the 2013 LOSAIL Asian Road Racing 600cc was mavellous that he was faster than some of the 1000cc Superbike guys in the mid pack. This will be Rajini´s second major International championship with sponsorship since the 2010 ARRC Asian GP with Red Rooster Racing Team.  Since then the very talented racer from Chennai was struggling to get enough backing to take part in the International arena.

The Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federtation (QMMF) started a Moto2 racing team and participated in the 2012 Moto2 World Championship with a well known Kawasaki MotoGO rider Anthony West and Malaysian Rookie Rafid Topan.

Rajini Krishnan will be racing in the full season of the upcoming 2014 Qatar Superbike Championship (QSBK) which starts in October 2013 and the calendar is as follows:
