Sebastian Vettel kickstarts the 2013 season in Australian by topping the Practice 1 & 2

World Champion Sebastian Vettel topped both practice sessions of Friday for the season opener in Australia with his RedBull. The season opener will always be getting into the unknown for all teams and drivers as they can measure real track performance and this year is no surprise with lots of suprises thrown at.

Redbull was on form immediately while Mercedes and Ferrari were close behind followed by Lotus. The letdown is the mediocre start by McLaren in the practice session yet the race day could prove a different story.

The season´s first Practice session was topped by Vettel who was closely followed by Massa, Alonso, Hamilton, Webber, Raikkonen, Rosberg, Sutil, Button and Grosjean to round off the top10.

While in Practice 2 the Redbulls came to the fore with Vettel and Webber followed by Rosberg, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Alonso, Hamilton. Massa, Sutil and Hulkenberg as top 10 timers.
