Celebrity Galore at the Indian Grand Prix 2012

- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri. Akhilesh Yadav will present the winner’s trophy 
- Hrithik Roshan to wave the Chequered flag
- Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha to sing the National Anthem with Shaan
- Shaan, Vishal & Shekar to perform at the Buddh International Circuit on Race Day

New Delhi, October 27, 2012: Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSI) is proud to announce that the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri. Akhilesh Yadav, will be presenting the coveted winner’s trophy at the second edition of the Indian Grand Prix this Sunday.

“We are pleased to announce that Shri. Akhilesh Yadav, will be presenting the winner’s trophy for the second edition of the Indian Grand Prix tomorrow.” said Mr. Askari Zaidi, Sr. Vice President, Corporate Communication, Jaypee Group.

JPSI has also confirmed that Bollywood Superstar, Hrithik Roshan, will be waving the chequered flag at the winners of this Sunday’s final race at the Indian GP. He replaces Sachin Tendulkar, who had done the honors last time around.

“Leading Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan will be waving the chequered flag to end the race. This year, the Indian Grand Prix 2012 will be an electrifying combination of thrilling race action, world–class entertainment and will be India’s most talked–about sporting extravaganza.” said Mr.Zaidi

This edition of Indian Grand Prix is all set to witness glitz and glamour of the tinsel town. F1 fans will get the best of both the worlds when a plethora of Bollywood stars join in to celebrate three days of speed euphoria.  Stars like Sanjay Dutt, Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal, Prakash Jha, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Bajpai and Eesha Gupta will be there to add to the glamour quotient at the Buddh International Circuit.

Also, the lead pair of Son of Sardar, Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha will sing the National Anthem along with Shaan at the starting grid before the commencement of the Sunday race at 3pm.

Vishal – Shekhar and Shaan will also play together, starting 11:00am on Race Day between the East and South Zone stands.Along with Vishal–Shekhar and Shaan, some selected local bands have got a lifetime opportunity to perform at the 2012 Formula1 Indian Grand Prix through “Rock the Race”, a novel initiative by JPSI to find hidden talent in the young students of India.

Many stars from the sporting and the film world have time and again confessed their love for motorsport and will witness India’s biggest motor racing spectacle – the 2012 Indian Grand Prix and get a chance to experience Buddh International Circuit, the winner of the ´Motorsport Facility of the Year´ Award at the Professional Motorsport World Expo, Germany 2011 Awards and the ‘Promotional Promoter Trophy’ 2011 awarded by FIA.

Along with all the excitement, there is also the F1 Village, behind the Main Grand Stand, where motorsport fans will be able to buy official merchandise of their favorite F1 teams and rub shoulders with some of their favourite celebrities.
