f1 Hamilton's pole stripped
Disappointed Lewis Hamilton Pastor Maldonado's first pole start

Maldonado will start in pole while Hamilton gets disqualified for stopping without fuel
Lewis Hamilton's sensational pole position performance during the Spanish GP qualifying went in wain as the stewards decided to disqualify the McLaren driver as he stopped the car on track without sufficient fuel onboard to return to the pits for scrutiny. Hamilton's penalty promotes Williams driver Pastor Maldonado to start from his first ever F1 pole position while Hamilton will start from the back of the grid.

Maldonado was on top during the Q2 and Q3 but only for Hamilton to beat on the final moments of Q3. Homeboy Fernando Alonso will start on the front row. Row 2 will be filled by Lotus drivers Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen. Perez on the Sauber and Nico Rosberg will form Row 3 while Sebastien Vettel and Michael Schumacher will share row 4.

Surprisingly the stewards have allowed Narain Karthikeyan to race on Sunday despite not qualifying within the 107% of the pole time.
