Toyota India launches Etios Motor Racing One Make Series at Auto Expo 2012

Toyota finally announced its racing plans in India with the launch of Etios Motor Racing One Make Series at Auto Expo 2012 with lots of fanfare.
The series is expected to start only in 2013 but Toyota plans to have few exhibition races & events events this year too.

The race version of Etios and Liva will feature a roll-cage, sports steering, modified bumpers on front and rear, racing seats, racing exhaust and17-inch alloys. The cars will run on MRF Tyres and will be built by Red Rooster Racing, Bangalore in association with Toyota Racing Development (TRD).

This series is open to drivers between the age group of 15-23 and the hunt for the drivers has begun with online registrations at www.toyotaetiosmotorracing.in.

The eligible entries will be contacted for participation for the training and qualifying programme soon to be held.
