Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2011 Season Finale to flag off in Chennai

- Polo Cup China 2011 drivers to race as guest drivers

Chennai, November 23, 2011-JK Tyre Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2011 has reachedhe finale with only one round to go. The championship is still wide open with four drivers having an opportunity to grab the title. Vishnu Prasad, who was leading the championship till Round Three is back in the lead with 320 points after last round. He is followed by Rahil Noorani with 315 points and Oshan Kothadiya with 288 points. They are closely followed by Avdumber Hede (277 points), Mihir Dharkar (235 points) and Munjal Savla (212 points). With the points' difference being minimal, these drivers have an equal chance to win the championship.

This race weekend will see participation from six guest drivers including Maiken Rasmussen (Scirocco R-Cup Driver), Fan Huaying (Polo Cup China Driver), Xie Jiawu (Polo Cup China Driver) and Purab Kohli (Bollywood Actor) among others. Fan and Xie are participating under the driver exchange program which entitled Vishnu's and Avdumber's participation in Polo Cup China last month.

"The drivers have already raced on Chennai track for six races, so this one will be a very close one with tenths of a second making all the difference. The points standing being so close there will be no room for error. These young drivers are raring to go for the last time this season and plan to leave no curb untouched. Expect the Race Polos being pushed to the limit coupled with intense racing." said Prithviraj Siddappa, Head of Volkswagen Motorsport India.
