Final round of the 2011 National Motorcycle & Superbikes at Chennai

The 5th & last round of the 2011 Bike Racing Championships will be conducted at the Madras Motor Race Track, Irungatukottai, Sriperambatur on 1st & 2nd October 2011.
The Championships conducted by the Madras Motor Sports Club for the 12th year in succession has attracted over 600 participants in the first 4 rounds with some very close & interesting contest among the competitors in various classes.

In the MRF FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2011, K.Rajini of Motorev India (70 points) leads R.Deepak of Preethi Racing (64 points) by a slender margin of 6 points in the Super Bikes 600CC Open category.

In the Group B (Modified) upto 165CC Open category R.Deepak private entry (58 points) leads K. Jagan of TVS Racing (57 points) by a single point who is further closely followed by Harry Sylvester of TVS Racing on 48 points. 

In the group D (unmodified) upto 165CC Open category Shyam Shankar of Motorev India has already sealed the championship with 74 points from the first 4 rounds and leads his team mate D.Dinesh Kumar by 31 points.

In the Group D (unmodified) upto 165CC Novice Category S. Madhan (Privateer) leads N. Abishek of Motorev India by 9 points and Arjun EB follows them both in 3rd place a further with additional 10 points difference.

The Group D (Unmodified) upto 130CC Novice category is the most keenly contested class with the first 3 positions having only 8 points separating them, Rajesh Ratna Kumar leads Anand P by 4 points who further leads S Prativ by another 4 points.

In the Honda MMSC One Make Championship M.Sudhakar leads the Stunner Category with 68 points. Arvind Ganesh leads the CBR150 Category with 30 points & Shyam Shankar leads the CBR 250 Category with 36 points.

In the Yamaha MMSC One Make Championship S. Madhan is leading in the R15 Novice Category at 70 Points and Shyam Shankar is leading in the R15 Open Category with 70 points.

Admission is free for the event and enthusiasts can witness the best of two wheel racing live at the MMRT track, Sriperambatur.
