Lewis Hamilton to drive in Bangalore Vodafone Show on 27th September
Lewis Hamilton, 2008 F1 World Champion, has set a date with Bangalore for a drive show organized by Vodafone. Vodafone, the prime sponsors of McLaren Mercedes F1 team announced Hamilton will fly into the city on 27th to do a special drive show in a Mclaren car with the Vodafone contest winners and fly off to prepare for his next race. This is will be the 4th visit to India for Hamilton and his first just ahead of the most awaited Grand Prix of India in Delhi.
"Racing enthusiasts of the city will get a rare opportunity to watch Hamilton participate in motor racing Sep 27 on the Bangalore–Mysore infrastructure corridor road built by NICE (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise)," McLaren sponsor and leading mobile service operator Vodafone Eassar said in a statement in Bangalore.
"To build up for the mega event, we have displayed a replica of the Mercedes racing car the ace driver used at a shopping mall in upscale Malleshwaram suburb," the statement said.
"In addition, 10 lucky customers will drive to the pit garage with the racer while three customers get to meet and greet Hamilton personally," the statement added.
Vodafone will run a contest to select the participants for the event in Bangalore and it will be a strictly closed event.
