Sarath to debut in ARRC 600cc Supersport this weekend in Malaysia
Chennai based rider Sarath Kumar, who is also India´s only Grand Prix debutant in the Moto3 World Championship has finally got a much needed break with the oppurtunity to race in Asian Road Racing Championship in the 600cc Supersport category.
Sarath will be racing with T-Pro Yuzy Honda NTS and will be supported by WOW Digit - Hong Kong, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Pvt Ltd, HONDA Motors Japan & Ten10 Racing
Sarath’s team-mates at Team T.Pro Yuzy Honda NTS Racing are Japanese riders Tomoyoshi Koyama and Taiga Hada, both with plenty of skill and experience will work with Sarath so he can quickly adapt to the new class of motorcycle.
Sarath Kumar said “This is a big opportunity. I have been riding 250cc for long now, but my bodyweight and height were becoming a disadvantage. It is one the toughest grid in the World today, maybe even tougher than World Super Sport, but ARRC will provide a great platform for me to work hard, ride and learn from the best in Asia. The injury is bothering me at present as I the recovery is taking a little longer than we expected but I am trying to ignore it and do my best to race in Buriram as I dont want to miss anymore races"

Sarath is still recovering from his knee injury suffered during a dirt track training session last month is confident despite being in lot of pain while riding the higher powered Honda CBR 600WR.
