Yash Aradhya to debut in the WSK Super Master Series 2016 Italy
Season 2016 begins on a great note for Yash Aradhya as he participates in the WSK Super Master Series 2016 Italyin the junior category. The14-year-old Bangalore boy, studying in class VII at the Bishop Cottons Boys School, Bangalorewas nominated for CIK-FIA Academy trophy 2015 last year, by the virtue of him winning the JK Tyre FMSCI National Rotax Max National karting Championship 2014 India.
The 4 rounds of WSK Super Master Series will be held across Italy in the month of March, April and May. Yash has signed with the Italian team Baby Race for all his races in WSK Super Master Series.
With the CIK approving the homologation for the OK & OKJ engines, the WSK series will be using the OK engine instead of the KF engines used earlier. The other 2 amendments for this season are that the there will be no self-starter engines and the karts will need to be push started (except for Mini Class), meaning that if a driver were to stop midway, the race will essentially be over for him. Further, the CIK front bumper faring rule is implemented, making the competition more challenging.
Speaking on this occasion, Yash said “This will be a great opportunity for me to race with this high standard engines and higher competition; the weather condition is much different from what Iused to race earlier. Under the guidance of Akbar Ebrahim and Armaan Ebrahim and the support of Italian team Baby Race, I am optimistic of completing my debut season with a high note. I would also like to thank JK Tyres for providing such a great platform in India, which has helped me reach this level and a special thanks to my sponsors who have put their faith in me.”
