Marc Marquez powers to take pole in Australia

Reigning world champion Marc Marquez took a strong pole position in Philip Island for the Australian Grand Prix with Iannone and Lorenzo joining the front row. 

Lorenzo (Yamaha) was upset as Iannone (Ducati) got a clean tow from using his slip stream and clocked an identical lap time and moved ahead in the standings.

Pedrosa (Honda), Vinales (Suzuki) & Crutchlow (Satelite Honda) share second row while Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) could only manage a 7th fastest grid position inspite of a world championship at stake and rival Lorenzo with the same bike is on the front row. 

Aleix Espargaro (Suzuki) and Pol Espargaro (Satellite Yamaha) completed row 3 while Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso will start from 10th on the grid ahead of Scott Redding and Bradley Smith.
