Marc Marquez shatters Silverstone pole record

Reigning world champion Marc Marquez broke his own pole record set in Silverstone in 2013 with a lap time of 2’00.234. The Repsol Honda rider clocked the time in his 2nd run beating Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo. Dani Pedrosa resorted 3rd quickest as he was not able to better his first run while Valentino Rossi was 4th fastest ahead of fellow Yamaha riders Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith in the second row.
