Ricky Donison wins Rotax Senior race in Sepang

Indian driver Ricky Donison (Rotax Senior category) won the race in the fifth round of the Rotax Max Challenge Asia series in Sepang (Malaysia).

The Bangalore lad is now second in the championship table, thanks to this win and a second place in the previous round.

In Sepang, Donison was in complete control and led the race by about half a second throughout.

Ricky Donison commented "Amazing weekend! Won both Finals at the 5th round of the Asian Championship Special thanks to Danny Sweeney for banging a set up on and I would also like to thank Mohd Rohairijaz, Nik Iruwan, Amos, Dad and everyone else at Nizra Motorsport."

Nine-year-old Ruhaan Alva finished 10th in the final race in the Asia Max Karting Championship Micro Max category in Sepang (Malaysia) on Sunday.

Bangalore´s Alva finished seventh in qualifying and 14th in the first heat due to a racing incident. He finished ninth in the second heat and started the pre-final from 11th position and finished in the same place.

Chirag Ghorpade, also taking part in the Micro Max category, had to pit after an incident.
