Mixed weekend for Arjun Maini in Zandvoort
Bengaluru boy Arjun Maini once again experienced a mixed weekend at Round 7 of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship in Zandvoort, Netherlands.
Arjun once again struggled with the qualifying sessions which in turn affected his races struck in traffic though he managed to recover some places.
Arjun Maini commented "The 7th Round of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship was once again a mixed bag, though I showed top 10 through the weekend, qualifying was once again an issue. With 34 cars on the grid it becomes quite difficult to find a bit of free track in order to build my pace a set a lap time. However this is something I am working on and my qualy pace should definitely improve in the coming races."
"Given the tight nature of the track where overtaking was quite difficult, I am happy to have gained positions in all my races, I started 16th for Race 1 and finished 13th, 21st for Race 2 and finished 15th and 22nd for Race 3 with a result of 17th. Overall not the best weekend but once again the lessons learned were invaluable to me as a driver. As always I would like to thank JK Tyre for showing their faith me and my Van Amersfoort team for all the work they have done this weekend. Finally I would like to thank all of you as well and can promise you a good result isnt far away!"
