The young double world champion broke many records in past two years and is sure to break many this year too with his powerful factory Honda machine.
Dani Pedrosa (SPA)
The experienced honda rider and former 125cc and 2 time 250cc world champion has yet to win a world title in the premier class. Stoner and Marquez have demolished the confidence of Pedrosa in the past 3 years and the coveted world title has been elusive for the spanish rider. Hope he spurs back to contention with Marquez or else will be playing second fiddle.
Movistar Yamaha
The factory Yamaha team gets a new seamless gearbox this season to play equal with Honda and with experienced multiple champions like Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo onboard.
Valentino Rossi (ITA)
The Italian multiple world champion made an impact in 2014 by changing his crew chief and beating team mate Lorenzo in the points table and being 2nd only to the phenomenon Marc Marquez. Rossi will be looking for a title contention but age plays a vital factor for the superstar who has won 7 motogp titles in the past and a 8 title would be a dream come true.
Jorge Lorenzo (SPA)
The two time MotoGP champion had a bad start to the season last year but recovered in the latter stages strongly. Lorenzo will be ready to attack Marquez for a miserable defeat in the past 2 years.
Ducati
The Italian manufacturer was surprisingly fast during the pre season tests and they have worked a lot on the new engines and chassis but still under the Open category enjoying benefits like super soft tryes, additonal engines and larger fuel tank.
