ABOUT US

Motorracingindia.com, launched in 2011 as a dedicated Indian motorsport portal to promote Indian racers and national racing scene to the world covering from grassroots karting championships to Formula One. It featured international standard photography, in-depth race reports, driver interviews, social media updates, and video features.

Founded in 2010 by Ahmed Razmi, with the strategic support of Akbar Ebrahim of Meco Motorsports, and encouragement from Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), the portal quickly established itself as an independent and credible voice within the national racing ecosystem. With consistent on-ground presence and paddock access, Motor Racing India built a reputation for visually rich documentation aligned with international motorsport media standards.

The portal covered a wide spectrum of national and international championships, including:

  • F1 Indian Grand Prix (2011, 2012, 2013)

  • JK National Karting Championship

  • JK Indian National Racing Championship

  • MRF National Racing Championship (F1600 & F2000)

  • Volkswagen Polo R Cup India

  • Toyota Etios Motor Racing

  • Volkswagen Polo Cup Sri Lanka

  • Amaron Karting Challenge

  • Sidvin Festival of Speed

  • National Motorcycle Racing Championship

  • Formula Asia Series (Noida)

  • Asia Road Racing Championship (Chennai)

In 2012, Motor Racing India received official FIA accreditation to cover the Formula One Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit – reinforcing its professional standing among globally recognized motorsport media within 1 year.

As the social media platforms began transforming how content was consumed and distributed, we gradually stopped event coverage and reporting. The platform remains a documented archive of one of India’s most defining motorsport eras post millenium.

The site is maintained by FX5 and is gearing up with new plans for 2026 and beyond.
