Lewis Hamilton put on a masterclass in his final race for Mercedes, climbing from 16th on the grid to finish 4th. Using a hard-medium tire strategy different from the rest of the grid, Hamilton managed to climb through the field and eventually snatch 4th place from teammate George Russell on the final lap.
The race saw drama for McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, who started 2nd but was clipped by Max Verstappen after turn 1 on the opening lap. Both drivers eventually spun and rejoined at the back of the field, with Verstappen receiving a 10-second penalty for causing the collision. Verstappen recovered to finish 6th, while Piastri claimed the final point in 10th despite a penalty for colliding with Williams driver Franco Colapinto during a Virtual Safety Car period.
Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Nico Hülkenberg (Haas), and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) finished 7th, 8th, and 9th respectively.
