Max Verstappen (RedBull Racing) who grabbed pole on saturday for the Qatar Grand Prix beating George Russell (Mercedes) by 0.055 seconds on track was slapped with a 1 sport grid penalty for slowing down George Russell on turn 11-12-13 during the build up lap with Russell almost avoiding a collision with Max. As a result of the penalty Russell will start on pole with Max Verstappen alongside on the front row.
